Conference Innovators recertified for carboNZero

We’re delighted to have received our carboNZero recertification – the only Professional Conference Organiser in New Zealand to be carboNZero certified.  

So what does this mean? That Conference Innovators has consistently demonstrated a commitment to measuring, reducing and offsetting our company carbon emissions to achieve a net zero carbon balance. It proves we’re dedicated to doing our bit for the environment! 

Our commitment to sustainability doesn’t end with us – we strive to be industry leaders in sustainable conferencing. This goes way back to 2007 when we managed the 31st UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting - the very first carbon-neutral international meeting in New Zealand. 

Since then we’ve always prioritised exploring different ways to make conferences more environmentally friendly – from offering carbon offset registration options to delegates, replacing conference satchels with ethically produced and sustainable options (or even better – doing away with them altogether!), swapping printed handbooks and programmes for apps, and implementing waste management measures to ensure maximum diversion rates from landfill.
